Original Artwork by Rebecca E. Yody
818 Studios is proud to present a new body of work by the one and only Rebecca Yody titled "LOOKING BACK; FORWARD FROM HERE". We hope you'll join us for opening night on June 14th 2020 from 6-10 pm.

Rebecca Yody, daughter of artists and forward thinkers, strives to learn and grow as a self-taught artist. Her first solo show was in 1990 at Brandywine Wine Bar and in 1992 she was part of an intriguing group exhibit that was really the first of its kind in Cleveland. "The Temple of Lost Love", received an NEA grant to display art along the Cuyahoga River in the industrial flats, curated by fellow artist Frank Green. This show was followed shortly thereafter in 1995 with her participation in another ground breaking group exhibit titled "Horsehead VII; A Celebration of Sculpture" curated by Richard VanOver with satellite openings in Germany, London, India and Seattle.
As she continued to grow artistically through the decades, she enjoyed the opportunity to participate in many other group exhibits including shows at Gallery U, The Brandt Gallery, 78th St. Art Studios and Bay Arts, just to name a few. Her repetitive use of significant single images lends a continuity to her work which is ever changing in its materials and process. Rebecca remains fluid through her career as an artist and strives to take her art to the next level, always with a little bit of the past in tow.
"I am excited for the opportunity to show these richly textured pieces which express my desire to create images using texture, found objects, and photos to build visual images to inspire thought and peace of mind." -Rebecca Yody
Show will remain on view through July 18th and an online store will be live at this address on the day of the show.
