INTO THE FADE

The idea for this project came to me while I was spending time in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. The beauty and serenity of the mountains seemed to contrast sharply next to my daily city life of noise and chaos. The notion of an indiscriminate apocalypse came to me as I thought of how fragile our beautiful planet is. These "globs' of color or ideas of an altered state of life indicate remnants of a vanished idea of existence. A former life trying to figure out how to adhere to a new world might result in a certain amount of chaos. How would the world look if the fractals changed?

OHIO STATE REFORMATORY, MANSFIELD, OHIO 2015
The Reformatory doors were opened to its first 150 young offenders in September 1896. After housing over 155,000 men in its lifetime, the doors to the prison closed December 31, 1990. This structure is hands down one of the eeriest places I've ever been in.

TIME TO KILL
This series was presented at the Brandt Gallery in Cleveland (Tremont), Ohio in 2012. The series is a study of finding ones way back to innocence and was inspired by my love for storytelling with still photographs.
